GATOR MADNESS on FOX28 Good Day Columbus!

Yesterday morning Coyote and company made their third appearance of the summer on FOX28's Good Day Columbus with Johnny DiLoretto. First time around we captured a Snapping Turtle on LIVE television...then we wrangled an Opossum in the same LIVE fashion...now...it was on to Alligators!

Of course there are no Alligators in Ohio...so we had to bring in local Alligator enthusiast Gator Dave who owns several reptiles including Darth Gator...a beautiful 3.5 foot American Alligator.

Gator Dave and Coyote co presented several segments about the dangers of keeping animals like pythons and alligators as pets...BAD IDEA KIDS!

While they may start off small, scaly and adorable...a python or alligator can nearly quadruple in size within just a few years if fed properly...ultimately leading to a predator that might want to eventually eat its keeper!

While we didn't have a monster sized Gator on site, Coyote still wanted to teach Johnny how to build a simple snare using nothing more then a stick and a Survival Strap, a method Coyote will use later this summer when filming with Alligators in the Everglades.

Gator Dave provided the team with an inflatable beast, and did a fantastic job acting the part of an aggressive predator, as Coyote and Johnny snared and wrestled the beast from the pond.

Was absolutely brilliant fun for LIVE morning television.

An extra special thanks goes out as always to Johnny and the FOX28 News team, Gator Dave and to The Ohio Wildlife Center for letting us play with animals again on their property!

Stay Muddy...and watch out for Swamp Monsters!
